Efforella's Bulwark

Efforella's Bulwark is one of the major organizations in Anomella. Their territory stretches form the southern border of Nāekà-á to the southern coast of the continent, which is about 1200 Miles (about the distance from Orlando, Florida to Chicago, Illinois), and east to west about 800 Miles (about the distance from Atlanta, Georgia, to Fort Smith, Arkansas) from east to west, from the eastern edge of the Queensland Mountains, to the eastern shore of Anomella.
The Bulwark is an extended version of the original commission sent to Anomella soon after the cataclysm by the Academy in Drakion. Their goal is to eliminate and root out aberrant corruption from Anomella permanently. They are very closely allied with Renth due to their shared origins, and they receive many resources, supplies, training, and lodging from the city.
Their main source of income, apart from stipends and grants given by both Renth and the Academy, as well as the typical wealth that comes with notable adventurers, is commissions from Nāekà-á, to keep their trading vessels and merchants safe.
Some of the more zealous members of the Bulwark strike, often against orders, into Zhrrq, rooting out the aberrant infestation that constantly takes place there. Unfortunately, this is often done by capturing and occupying cities, and then finding and executing any Twisted individuals. While Zhrrq is theoretically appreciative of this, as they are rooting out corruption, both due to the extreme methods, and the Queenswill Inquisition's true goals make these acts very poorly received by Zhrrq. This has caused much tension between Zhrrq and the Bulwark.

Leadership

The Bulwark has a fairly loose hierarchy, as most parties of adventurers act with a decent level of autonomy. They do have some level of organization, usually more powerful and experienced adventurers calling the shots, and directing some of the weaker and less experienced parties on their missions. Apart from this it is fairly unorganized, which is partially why the attacks on Zhrrq have continued, and the actual attempts to root out corruption and make a lasting difference have been mostly unsuccessful. Joining the Bulwark is an entirely voluntary decision, but they do offer much in terms of wealth, influence, titles, and magical items. Seasoned members of the Bulwark are typically regarded well and generally respected across the Regions of Drakomere.

Factions

There are a few major factions among the Bulwark.

The Renth Loyalists (~42%) who highly value Renth and the protection and security it provides to both the Bulwark and its populace, opting to stay close and protect it.
The Expansionists (~32%) who want to expand the area the Bulwark is operating in, hopefully surrounding and dealing with more aberrations at a time.
The Exterminators (~26%) who want to go straight for the source, the Barons and their Towers, eliminating the center of the corruption. Many want to do this and believe in this goal, but few believe it practical or possible, so most members only pay lip-service to the faction's goals.

Renth Loyalists (~42%)

The Renth Loyalists highly value Renth and the protection and security it provides to both the Bulwark and its populace, opting to stay close and protect it. Their members, which makes up almost half of the bulwark, typically stick within a ten days journey from Renth. This not only makes Renth itself extremely safe, but the area immediately around the city one of the safer areas in Anomella.

The Expansionists (~32%)

The Expansionists want to expand the area the Bulwark is operating in, hopefully surrounding and dealing with more aberrations at a time. They are often the ones striking into the Barony of Abandonment and the Barony of Madness, taking land from the aberrations and holding them for the Bulwark.

The Exterminators (~26%)

The Exterminators want to go straight for the source, the Barons and their Towers, eliminating the center of the corruption. Many want to do this and believe in this goal, but few believe it practical or possible, so most members only pay lip-service to the faction's goals. They are typically either the bravest, or most foolish members of the Bulwark, but frankly the most effective. The efforts of the Exterminators have done more to actually, permanently remove corruption from Anomella than double the Loyalists and Expansionists combined. They are also typically the ones striking into Zhrrq and eliminating the Twisted within them. This does give the Exterminators a bad rep both within the ranks of the Bulwark, and internationally.
