Kalakwaela

Kalakwaela is one of the nations in Anomella, its territory is everything that lies southwest of the Queenswill Mountains. From north to south, as well as east to west at its furthers points, its borders are about 1200 Miles (about the distance from Orlando, Florida to Chicago, Illinois).
Kalakwaela is a primarily Phrenian nation, made of disparate city states all across its territory. These city states, or Sovereigns, each have their own, slightly different forms of government and legislation, with each one typically having little bearing on the others. Once every {TIME}, the leaders of each Sovereign meet at the capital, [NAMEOFCAPITAL], and discuss regulations and nation-wide legislation, especially that of alliances and wars.
Kalakwaela is currently at war with Nāekà-á, the Plumbite nation is the aggressor. Their casus belli against Kalakwaela is a muddy, vague reasoning, that most of the Sovereigns, and the Anomella-wide community doesn't really believe. They claim some form of restitution required for lives lost in the Cataclysm, blaming the Phrenians as its cause.
Unfortunately, due to Kalakwaela's decentralized nature, it doesn't have a very organized military, so they levy Kálòo-òo's military to fight their war for them. This does cause some tensions between Nāekà-á and Kálòo-òo, but Phrenian Scholars are expensive and bring in a good economic backing, enough to forget the tensions between the two Plumbite nations.
Phrenian councils, when the Sovereigns all gather, they can be very indecisive, almost as if they were operating under a split mind. To help with this common issue, Kalakwaela hires out many of the mediators and advisors in Renth, in exchange for lending them Phrenian Scholars, who are some of the best and most well trained savants, archivists, historians, arcanists, and scholars of every variety.
Zerrqa also longs for the use of the Phrenian Scholars to help them reverse engineer more technology they received from Zheshier in Steelshroud, in exchange for their assistance, Kalakwaela takes some of the tech for their personal use, as well as a pretty penny in direct compensation.
Phrenians have formed close ties to Saurians who have migrated from the Stonebloom Plateau and joined Kalakwaela in number back before the Aberrant Cataclysm, when the Region was still called Eforella. The Phrenian depth of mind and Saurian depth of natural Resonant attunement paired very well, allowing them to [DOMUCHRESEARCHANDMAGICCOOLGUYSTUFF].
The general population of Kalakwaela is constantly in danger, for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the attacks from Nāekà-á, but from a non-national level, the northern region of Kalakwaela resides in the Barony of Fear, and thus the (Phobic Forest). The (Phobic Forest) is a bamboo forest, except from each the bamboo is carnivorous, and from each bamboo shoot, several tentacles sprout. The natural predators of the entire western region of Anomella are dangerous ambush predators, many of which are infested with aberrant corruption. Finally, bestial Quartz Dragons roam throughout the region. All of these factors make regular travel between Sovereigns incredibly difficult and dangerous. Phrenians have also, out of all the Ancestries present in both Anomella and all of Drakomere seem to be specifically and explicitly targeted by Aberrations.
Khoroverns have also had a great influence on Kalakwaela. [NUMBER] of the Sovereigns, especially the ones that previously struggled significantly, were somewhat commandeered by Khoroverns. They placed themselves as the leaders, and in some places gods, of the Sovereigns they took over. While these Sovereigns are doing much better from an economic, safety, and social perspective on the surface, they are still being ruled by dictatorial dragons who wish to be praised.

Economy

Phrenian economy is based almost entirely around their Scholars, with their vast knowledge, skill, and propensity for Resonance, Phrenian Scholars are some of the most sought out wisemen in all of Drakomere. Hiring the services of some of the most extensively knowledgeable Scholars for an extended period of time can easily reach the amount a small town would be purchased for. They use the massive income their Scholars produce to purchase and supplement any necessities they do not produce on their own, and to levy the military of Kálòo-òo.

Population

Kalakwaela is a majority Phrenian (~42%) nation, followed by Saurians (~26%), Gnolls (~12%), Vespoid (~11%), and Dwarves (~7%), as well as Misc. Ancestries (~2%).

Religion

Kalakwaela holds two religions in tandem, some of the Sovereigns holding more to one or the other, and others trying to blend the two together. Dual Atavism (~37%) is the traditional Phrenian religion, (saurianreligion) (~%), the traditional Saurian religion, (vespoidreligion) (~34%) and the mixture of the two (~23%), as well as Misc. Religions (~6%).

Government

The governmental structure of Kalakwaela, at least on a national level, is very unregulated. Each Sovereign of which there are about [number], each have slightly different government styles. Most of the Sovereigns either use some form of monarchy, elected tribunal, or meritocracy for their government.
Once every [amountoftime] all of the Sovereign's meet at the capitol city of [nameofcapitolcity], and discuss national level policy and legislation. Very little productive happens at these meetings, but they are unfortunately a necessity.
One of the major decisions currently being discussed is the response to Nāekà-á's hostile actions, how best to defend their cities, which potential solutions for peace to offer, if a counter-offensive is wise or even possible. The Sovereigns to the west and the south often do not see the severity of this was, as opposed to the Sovereigns to the north and the east who are the ones actively being attacked by Nākà-án armies.

Factions

There are several factions in Zhrrq that influence its policies and politics.

• Phrenian Scholars (~47%) who are the main source of income for Kalakwaela, and, outside of the Academy, are the largest and most effective body of scholarly sources and research in Drakomere.
  
• Martial Kings (~31%) who wish to take action and charge, forming some form of central military, both for the purpose of safety, and to fight back against Nāekà-á. They see the Phrenian Scholars as useful, but also think too much time, attention, and resources have been spent developing them, and now the people of Kalakwaela need tangible results, not dithering research
  
• Resonant Collective (~22%) who are an off-shoot of the Phrenian Scholars, but specifically invest their time and energy researching magic and Resonance, and developing their abilities as Mages. The Resonant Collective and Martial Kings often work together, working in tandem with the levied Kálòo-òo forces on the battlefield.
