Tin Dragons

Tin Dragons are one of the nine Metallic Dragons of Drakomere. They are associated with the Tone of Protection, the Harmony of Abjuration, and the Melody of Arcane. They originated in the Stonebloom Plataeu, and are associated with the Origin Ancestry, the Stonelings. Due to their association with Abjuration Magic, they are also tied to the vice of Fear, and the virtue of Equanimity, as well as a secondary tie to Quetzacoatl, even though Tiamat is their primary god, being god of Metallic Dragons, thus also being related to the sea.
Tin Dragons originated in the Stonebloom Plataeu and knew instinctually to stay near the equator, where it was warmer. They developed a society in the mountains of the Stonebloom Plateau, near its volcano, later on expanding to Drakion, where a portion of them joined the Draconic Baronies, founding the Tin Barony. Tin Dragons also have two Allokins, Pewter Dragons and Cassiterite Dragons.
Tin Dragons live longer than most other Dragons in Drakomere and are generally immune to most poisons. Because of this, they often take it upon themselves to protect the non-draconic sapient life of the world. They are very honest in nature, and pride themselves on their abhorrence of corruption and upstanding nature. However, Tin Dragons do often have status symbols that they value highly, doing a lot of posturing and making themselves seem very important. They do often bend to popular will, and take on tasks and commitments to appease this will.
Tin Dragons are very susceptible to the cold, and often fear it, because of this, they can undergo a process referred to as Stannicization, where they are placed in a room with heavy ventilation, and heated up, this is a painful and lengthy process, usually taking about two days of constant, painful heat. Afterwards, the Dragon's shiny, smooth, and silvery-white scales become dull, course, and brassy in color. While less traditionally aesthetically appealing, Stannicization helps Tin Dragons resist the cold, become mostly immune to Frostfever, and bolsters their physical resilience.
Tin Dragons also care highly for their physical appearance and how they are perceived. Because of this many Tin Dragons have small holes punched in their scales to create beautiful patterns, most Tin Dragons have truly amazing dental hygiene, and some even go so far as to Stannicize themselves for the purpose of status.
Tin Breath manifests as painful and powerful sound waves bursting from the mouth's of a Tin Dragon to use as a weapon. Those who do not immediately lose their hearing, either temporarily or permanently, and survive a face to face encounter with a Tin Dragon and live to tell the tale, often report the sound as akin to rushing sand, cracking underbrush, crunching leaves, and distant thunder, all simultaneously.

Frostfever & Frostin Dragons

Tin Dragons deal with a plague known as Frostfever, it is infectious, and clings to the small gaps and under the scales. Frostfever lies dormant with no observable symptoms until either prolonged or intense exposure to the cold. After the Frostfever incubates, it begins to spread from the point of contact, slowly taking over the body of the Tin Dragon. After infection, the Tin Dragon is derogatorily referred to as a Tin Pest and is typically shunned from society before complete transformation. They refer to themselves, generally, as Frostin Dragons.
Various kinds of bismuth or antimony bands or bracers help Tin Dragons resist the cold and cause them to be less susceptible to Frostfever. Due to Geneolurgy, this has extended in its use-case. Because of this, wearing of bismuth and antimony jewelery and finery improves Tin Dragon's physical, mental, and spiritual resilience.
After succumbing entirely to Frostfever, a Tin Dragon's body, which is usually smooth and silver-white in color, becomes jagged, uneven, and gray. Its scales loose their metallic sheen, and clash together, no longer remaining uniform, instead become jagged, sharp, and flat, almost the shape of diamond. If one were to look at the body of a Frostin Dragon, they might think it a Crystalline Dragon of some description at first glance.
After getting used to the new form their body has taken and recovering from the physical pain, as well as the mental and emotional strain, a Frostin Dragon is typically just as physically well and capable as unaltered Tin Dragons.
There is a large societal taboo around Frostfever and those it has infected, thus causing them to branch off, with many Frostin Dragons joining the societies of Jalielin in the south, due to the shared struggle with stigma, and forming their own society of NAME in the north, in the mountains south of the Kzaa Frontier.
