Ursan
Ursan were bears who shifted to more Humanoid forms and were given sentience due to the detonation of creation energy from in the Wild-Plains. This detonation of creation energy took place in the 13th Age.
Ability Score Increases. Your Strength Score increases by 2 and your Wisdom Score increases by 1.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Primal
Size. Ursan are hulking creatures, as such, your size is Large.
Bearish Brawn. You have thick claws which you can use as unarmed weapons, dealing 1d8 Slashing damage.
Four-Legged Hunters. While both your hands are empty, you can walk on all fours, doubling your walking speed until you stand up again.
Hunger for Honey. Ursan’s heritage of bears has kept their minds on honey. As such they’ve become adept at finding and taking it. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to find honey, and you have advantage on Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) checks to steal honey. If you eat honey as an action, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level for one hour. You can gain this benefit from eating honey in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses at the end of a long rest.
Lethargic Nature. You need to spend a lot of time resting. Long rests take 10 hours to complete for you.
Thick Hide. You have a thick, shaggy hide, giving you an unarmored AC of 13 + Your Constitution Modifier.
Ursa Major. Ursan come in many shapes and sizes, adapted to different climates and landscapes, choose one of the following types of Ursan.
- Brown Ursan. Brown Ursan have brown coats and often live in savannahs and grasslands. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in savannahs and grasslands.
- Tundra Ursan. Tundra Ursan have white coats and often live in the tundra and :arctic. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in tundra and arctic and are acclimated to cold climates and high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.
- Swamp Ursan. Swamp Ursan have brown, green, and blue coats and often live in the swamp. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in swamps.
- Black Ursan. Black Ursan have black coats and often live in the forests and woods. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in forests and woods.
- Golden Ursan. Golden Ursan have golden coats and often live in the desert. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in the desert and are acclimated to hot climates.
- Wild Ursan. Wild Ursan have white coats with rings of black fur and often live in the jungle. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in the jungle and are acclimated to hot climates.
- Black Ursan. Black Ursan have black fur and often live in the mountains. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when in the mountains, and are acclimated to cold climates and high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.
