MaRen

The Horse-Masters are a long-lived, nomadic tribe that roams the PingDi plains. No one is quite sure where they came from, as they aren’t of the same blood as ZhongRen, clearly evidenced by their longer lifespans and uniquely colored hair, which is without fail a bright red color, something highly uncommon in the rest of BaShanDaLu. They are masters at all things equestrian, from their powerful cavalry to their superior horse breeds. When naming their children, their children’s surname is the first name of their father.

Age. The horse-masters have a slightly longer lifespan than average ZhongRen, generally living in excess of 100 years, and they remain in their prime for longer, not showing signs of old age until their 60s. Size. MaRen are notably taller on average than normal ZhongRen, often reaching heights well over 6 feet. Ability Score Increase. Your Strength and Wisdom scores each increase by 2. Equestrian Affinity. You are proficient in Animal Handling and Athletics. Horse Speech. You can speak with and understand horses as if you shared a language.
