Gnomes originate from the Steel Shroud and are primarily present in the Civilizations of the Shiliekh and the Zhenem. The Gnomes are quite reclusive and only have two Kindreds, Shiliekh Gnomes and Zhenem Gnomes. Shiliekh Gnomes, as their name suggests, populate the three Khisivs of the Shiliekh , and the Zhenem Gnomes populate the Zhenem Plateau and Zhenem Isles. The Shiliekh Gnomes have taken more of a muscled quality from the Orcs they cohabitate with, they are taller than the Zhenem Gnomes, and are broader shouldered. On the other hand, the Zhenem Gnomes are much spindlier with incredibly precise fine motor control and are very lithe. | |||
Gnomes’ Blessing is that they have an innate understanding of how energy conversion works. From birth, they understand how kinetic energy feeds into potential, mechanical and chemical energy, and vice versa, they also know how nuclear energy works and more. They understand this the same way they understand how to breathe, blink, and that very hot means danger. This, coupled with the Dragons native to the Steel Shroud either leaving or being very reclusive, allowed them to create masterful inventions while the rest of the world was stuck in a more traditionally medieval time-frame. | |||

Gnomes are a shorter Lineage, with very curly hair. Their hair and eyes can range from any color of the rainbow. They have long fingers with pointed fingernails, and they have long arms, about three-quarters their height in length, and long legs as well. Gnomes also have quite a long lifespan, especially for their size, they become a Child at around 6 years old, an Adolescent at around 20, an Adult at around 30, Middle Age at around 90, an Elder at around 140, and are Ancient from 160 onwards. | |||
Gnomes have four main ethnicities, two for the Shiliekh Gnomes and two for the Zhenem Gnomes. The Shiliekh Gnomes are ethnically divided into the Northern Gnomes, which are found in the Splendorous and Barren Khisivs, and Southern Gnomes, which are found in the Innovative Khisiv. The Zhenem Gnomes are divided into the Plateau Gnomes, Found on the Zhenem Plateau, and very similar to the Southern Shiliekh Gnomes, and the Isle Gnomes, which are found in the Zhenem Isles. | |||
