They originated in the Twisted Lands, and are associated with the Origin Ancestry, the [[Plumbite]]. Due to their association with Abjuration Magic, they are also tied to the vice of Fear, and the virtue of Equanimity, as well as a secondary tie to Quetzacoatl, even though Tiamat is their primary god, being god of Metallic Dragons, thus also being related to the sea. Due to the lead poisoning often caused to those who spend much time around Lead Dragons, they have very tight knight, clustered communities. Lead Dragons live the longest out of all Metallic Dragons, and have thus taken it upon themselves to act as the de facto historians of drakomere. They have fantastic calligraphy and use both graphite writing implements, as well as a form of movable type, used in secret, that was developed in Steelshroud before it fell. Because of their vast knowledge and age, Lead Dragons often know secrets of the world that would make a typical non-draconic being go mad. Seeking the counsel of a Lead Dragon is a worthwhile endeavor, but can be dangerous to the minds of those ill-prepared.<br>
